  DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY DOUBLE!
  
  I went to post a textbook (within Australia - in the same state etc) knowing that postage would cost me a maximum of $12.50 (after checking on the Aus Post website). I chose a $1.70 small padded bag and was aware that postage would cost $8.95 for up to 5kg. The man at this post office placed the bag and book on the scale and said 'because the parcel is over 1kg it costs extra'. He tried to charge me $16 for the postage alone + the cost of the padded bag equating to around $18 total!!! This is nearly double what this should have cost. When I kindly explained that this cost didn't seem correct and attempted to show him the Aus Post website on my phone which clearly stated the price, he became very angry, rude and argumentative and stated 'All Aus Post prices are the same. That the Aus Post website is incorrect. That the price on the website was only for the cheaper plastic postage bags, not padded (which it clearly stated padded bags were included).' He refused to even LOOK at my phone with the evidence of the correct price on the Aus Post website and cut me off when I asked him to have a look for himself. Meanwhile, there were 3-4 other customers in the store. I kindly said to him, that's okay I might just go to another post office to check, thank you. He once again angrily stated that all Aus Post offices are the same and that the computer system works out the cost etc and that if he is 'incorrect' he will give me something for free (attempting to get me to purchase from him and to look better in front of the other customers). I left feeling very upset and attacked (HORRIBLE customer service). I went immediately to my next nearest post office (Eastland) where I was charged $10.65 TOTAL for my package with the exact same padded bag etc. This was in fact the correct standard price (I did not mention that I had been quoted otherwise). Please do not go to this post office unless you would like to be charged double. The post office was also dirty (not abiding COVID-19 regulations) and VERY messy. This man should not work here or own this post office. I will be looking at reporting this further.
  
  Update: A formal complaint to Aus Post was made.

  Horrible customer service. Refused to look for my parcel through his extremely messy and unorganised post office. Had to submit a claim to find parcel and then go back to collect it again! Majority reviews seem the same.

  I have to agree with past reviews. Most horrible service, no manners at all. Worst of all the man behind the counter doesn’t know much. Yes good parking, and really anybody there, no wander. Keep on driving.

  Recently changed hands. New operators are friendly and have made some much needed renovations. Excellent customer service. Can disregard the reviews from previous occupancy.

  I agree that the operator of the LPO lacks customer service skills and expertise. I have no doubt that he is good at his work but the experience within the establishment is cold and uninviting. Australia Post would presumably have minimum service standards for LPOs. They should ensure these are maintained at Heathwood.
